Learning by Age
Quran classes for kids go further when the goal matches the child’s age. This is how a plan to learn Quran online for kids changes as they grow.
Arabic letters through sound and repetition, short surahs learned by listening, and daily duas such as the one before eating.
Noorani Qaida to fluent Nazra, first Tajweed rules and Juz Amma, plus Salah, which the Prophet asked parents to teach at seven.
Full Tajweed, a Hifz target and word-by-word meaning, so the surahs they pray with are understood and not only memorized.
The Salah guidance comes from the hadith in Sunan Abi Dawud (495), which tells parents to teach children prayer at seven.
Keeping Kids Focused
Good Quran lessons for kids are short and active. An online Quran teacher for kids needs patience more than anything, and ours plan for it.
Each lesson moves a few letters or lines at a time, so new work finishes before attention fades.
Teachers repeat a sound until it is right and praise the effort, not only the correct answer.
Lessons for 4 and 5-year-olds stay light, with a parent close by to help them settle in.
Your child keeps the same teacher, who knows exactly where they stopped last time.
Where to Start
The first class in the free week checks what your child can already read, then places them in one of these courses.
Starts the Noorani Qaida, learning each letter’s shape and sound before joining letters into words.
Finishes the Qaida pages on harakat, tanween and madd, then moves on to reading Juz Amma.
Joins the Tajweed course to fix makharij, ghunnah and stretched vowels.

Parent's Role
Children under 7 learn more when a parent sits nearby for the first few weeks, helping them stay seated and repeat after the teacher.
Set up the class on your own device in a shared room, such as the living room, so you can hear the lesson and see the screen at any time.
Ten minutes of reading with your child each day matters more than a longer class. Ask them to read you the homework page before the next lesson.
Plans
Online Quran classes for children fit around the school week in four plans, all one-to-one.
| Plan | Suits | Lessons | Days | Monthly Fee |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Weekend 30 | Busy school weeks, ages 4 to 8 | 8 lessons of 30 min | Saturday, Sunday | $30 |
| Basic | Steady Qaida and Nazra progress | 12 lessons of 30 min | Monday, Wednesday, Friday | $45 |
| Standard | Hifz and fast reading progress | 20 lessons of 30 min | Every weekday | $65 |
| Weekend 45 | Older children who can focus longer | 8 lessons of 45 min | Saturday, Sunday | $40 |
Comparison
Quran apps use recorded audio, games and quizzes for children to practise on their own.
| Question | Live Teacher | Quran App |
|---|---|---|
| Hears your child’s mistakes? | Yes, every letter | Rarely, or not at all |
| Explains why a sound is wrong? | Yes, in simple English | No |
| Keeps your child accountable? | A set class time and homework | Only if the child opens it |
| Cost | From $30 a month | Often free or low cost |
| Good for | Learning to read and recite correctly | Extra listening and revision |
Apps work well as practice between classes. Reading the Quran correctly still needs someone who can hear your child and correct them.

Not usually. A 4-year-old who can sit for a short lesson and repeat sounds can start with letters and short surahs. Keep a parent beside them, and the free week will show whether they are ready.
Yes. Your child’s teacher checks their level in the first class and continues from the same Qaida lesson or surah, so nothing they learned at the mosque is repeated or lost.
Yes. As an online Quran academy for kids and adults, we teach wudu, Salah, duas and core beliefs in our Islamic Studies course, which children can take with their Quran classes.
Yes. Families book afternoon, evening and weekend slots in Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacific time. See our classes in the USA page for more details.
About 10 to 15 minutes a day is enough for most children. Short daily reading of the homework page keeps letters fresh and makes each new lesson easier to follow.
Choose one-to-one lessons with a teacher who is patient with children, explains in clear English and offers a female teacher if you want one. Then watch the free trial classes yourself.
