Why Women Choose This

Why Do Women Choose a Female-Only Hifz Class?

A women only Hifz program removes the small things that make memorizing harder at home.

Recite Without Hesitation

Raise your voice, repeat a line ten times and make mistakes freely in front of another woman.

Camera On at Home

Your teacher can see your Mushaf and follow your place without any concern about hijab on screen.

Slots Around Children

Book classes during school hours, nap times or late evenings when the house is finally quiet.

A Teacher Who Understands

Your teacher knows from experience how Hifz fits around pregnancy, babies and family duties.

A Mother's Routine

How Can a Busy Mother Fit Hifz Into Her Day?

Small, fixed moments work better than waiting for a free hour that rarely comes. This is a common pattern for mothers on a weekday plan.

MomentHifz Task
After Fajr, before the house wakesRepeat today’s new lines aloud
School hours or nap timeClass with your teacher
While cookingListen to your new page from one reciter
In your own SalahRecite older surahs as revision

Busy weeks happen. In those weeks, keep revision going and pause new lines, rather than stopping completely. A month of revision only still keeps your Hifz alive.

What Classes Cover

What Do Online Hifz Classes for Women Cover?

Each class has three parts: your new lesson recited from memory, the last few days of lessons, and a section of older revision. Your teacher listens to all three and marks any line that needs more work.

Tajweed is checked as you recite, so ghunnah, madd and heavy letters stay correct in every verse you memorize. If a rule keeps slipping, your teacher pauses new lines until it is fixed.

Some sisters also ask for the meaning of each new passage, which makes long surahs easier to hold and more moving to recite in Salah.

Teaching Your Children

Can You Memorize Alongside Your Children?

Yes, and it often helps both of you. A mother who is memorizing Juz Amma can hear her child’s revision of the same surahs and correct it with confidence.

Children also copy what they see. When they hear their mother reciting in Salah from memory, Hifz becomes a normal family habit rather than a chore, and siblings often start asking to join in.

Our Hifz for kids page explains how children’s lessons work.

Comparison

Online Hifz at Home or a Women's Hifz Class at the Mosque?

Some mosques and Islamic centres run weekly Hifz circles for sisters, often on weekday mornings.

Questions

What Else Do Sisters Ask About Memorizing the Quran?

Still have a question? Our team answers on WhatsApp and will help you pick the right course and time.

What is a woman who memorizes the Quran called?

She is called a Hafiza, the female form of Hafiz. In South Asian families she is often called a Hafiza-e-Quran, and the title is honoured just as it is for men.

Can I start a hifz course for women if I only read slowly?

You can start with short surahs, but full Hifz goes far better after fluent reading. Your teacher may suggest a few weeks of our Quran reading course first.

Is quran hifz for ladies possible during pregnancy or with a newborn?

Yes, at a gentler pace. Many women continue with revision and fewer new lines in these months, then build up again. Your teacher adjusts targets whenever your circumstances change.

What about lessons on my period days?

Scholars hold different views, so tell your teacher which one you follow. Our female teacher page explains how lessons can continue in a changed form on those days.

Can my teacher be a Hafiza herself?

Ask for this when you book. We match women’s Hifz classes with female teachers, and our team will confirm your teacher’s own memorization and Ijazah before the free week.

Can I memorize only certain surahs instead of the whole Quran?

Yes. Many sisters start with Surah Al-Mulk, Al-Kahf or Juz Amma for their Salah and daily reading, then decide later whether to continue to the whole Quran.
